Thanks for your inquiry into the sale of the Jacobs Ruby Mine. I have great news - I have been talking with the owner and he has agreed to a price reduction - so rather than an asking price of $295,000, the price has been reduced to $239,000 which is fantastic.
Tthere is tremendous potential with this mine. There are 23.53 acres on Caler Creek and the owners told me they've dug the best stones ever this past season!
The governmental and regulatory permits are all up-to-date and in good order.
All the equipment necessary to run the mine is included, such as Mining Screens, Buckets, Umbrellas, 4 Pumps, Massey Ferguson Tractor and Trailer, 743 Bobcat and Trailer, Gravel Washing Machine and FM Radio Transmitting System. Two outbuildings; a bathroom and storage building and a snack bar and storage building. The owners do plan to stay after the sale to assist the new owners with the mine.
The owners have suggested several possibilities which could generate additional income such as. *Take the existing pond, enlarge it and turn it into a 'paying' trout or fishing pond. *Boulders that are leftover from the initial screening process can be sold to landscape businesses or nurseries. *Since many of the 'rock hounds' arrive in their RV campers, set aside an area that would become a RV park. *Sell the land that adjoins the main road as home sites (the new homes going up in this area are very large and impressive.) *Expand the snack bar and enlarge the picnic area. *Any lapidary skills n the part of the new owners would generate another area of income. Mining to the public is from May to Ooctober
