Cordwood Fired Tank Water Heater

LongBurn Cordwood Fired Water Heater is designed to heat large tanks of water, over 200 gallons. Such tanks include radiant home heating storage tanks, swimming pools, large hot tubs and spas, aquaculture, hydroponic and livestock tanks.

The LongBurn burns medium-sized standard firewood, up to 4. x . 6 around and 18. in length. The 12. diameter by 20. length firebox is horizontally-configured. The fire is surrounded by a 1. jacket of water.

The fuel-end opening is contained by a heavy 3/8. steel plate door assembly, with a heavy cast iron door.

The LongBurn can be loaded with fuel and will burn up to two hours using hardwood fuel. The . long burn. time means large tanks can be heated over a period of hours without constantly feeding the fire.

The LongBurn. s low profile places the hot outlet on the top of the unit 23. from the floor. This means low profile tanks can be heated on natural thermosiphon convection without being elevated.

The hot and cold waterways are 1 1/2. NPTF, allowing for maximum flow rates using thermosiphon, or when using a circulating pump. Using thermosiphon allows for operating without using a circulating pump while the LongBurn is fired. However, maximum efficiency is achieved when a circulating pump is used.

The tank is hot dip galvanized for years of service. The outer jacket and stand are powder coated Deep Sea Green.

LongBurn takes standard medium-sized firewood up to 4. x 6. diameter and 18. long. The LongBurn burns all type of wood, from hot-burning soft wood to long-burning hardwoods.
The built-in ash rake under the heavy grate makes it easy to clean ashes, which fall through into the ashpan.
