The paintings of a promising
painter Rashmi
Ranjan, Patnafrom India encompass
a wide canvas ranging from still-life (flowers), to mythology (Ganesh,
Ajanta paintings), to breathtaking landscapes. The depiction of flowers
are realistic and vibrancy of
colors and the interplay
of shades and shadows make them come alive.
The Ganesha's are done in a new style depicting various moods of
the Lord. Her landscapes are soothing yet breathtaking and portray images
which could easily adorn offices and living rooms. They
reflect grace and depth apart
from capturing the various shades of nature. Her Ajanta painting beautifully
brings out the
antiquity and intricacies
of the age-old and priceless Ajanta style of paintings. Indians all over
the world would be easily able to relate and empathize with her works which
do make a statement of their own.
The common theme through
all her paintings remains the realism as well as grace so beautifully depicted
through the interplay of colors,
sometimes bright and lovely,
sometimes sober and discrete.
